Online Health And Safety Training

With 2018 now up and running, it is no better time than to think about how to improve your businesses Health and Safety to ensure that you are preventing any potential accidents or near misses during the year ahead. We offer a wide range of online health and safety training courses.

With the incidents last year at Grenfell Towers and Cameron House, now is a perfect time to ensure you have that correct measures in place to protect your business and employees whilst at work.

For companies looking to incorporate a new training program, the advantages of Online Training greatly outweigh those of face-to-face or classroom learning. Advancement and efficiency are extremely important to businesses today, and many organisations are turning to Online Training to save money, time, and energy.

Key advantages of online training are:

  • Courses last between 30-45 minutes therefore negating time spent out of the business;
  • Online training is less expensive than attending an external training course or providing in-house training;
  • Online training is flexible in terms of the availability and location of the learner: training can be undertaken anywhere and anytime, provided there is access to the internet;
  • The learner can proceed at their own pace and is actively involved during the training;
  • There is no limit on the number of employees that can be trained.

Below is a list of Online Training Courses that HR Services Scotland have to offer which contains a short trailer for each training course:

If you work on buildings built or refurbished before the year 2000, Asbestos may well be present. If this is the case then you and your employees have a legal requirement to carry out Asbestos Awareness Training in order to help you avoid the risks and comply with Regulation 10 of The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.

Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Online Training

COSHH stands for ‘Control of Substances Hazardous to Health’ and under The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002, employers need to either prevent or reduce their workers’ exposure to substances that are hazardous to their health.

Online Ladder Safety Training

Falling from a height is incredibly common and extremely dangerous, and at least a third of all fall injuries involve ladders. This makes them one of the largest causes of accidents and injuries – both in the workplace and at home.

General Data Protection Regulation Essentials – Online Course

The General Data Protection Regulation is intended to unify and strengthen data protection for everyone within the European Union.

After concerns were raised about the ‘control’ of personal information within the EU, it was decided that a regulation should be put in place to give control back to the citizens. The government has confirmed that the UK’s decision to leave the EU will not affect the commencement of the GDPR.

Although the GDPR regulations don’t come into effect until 25th May this year, this GDPR Training programme can be used now, and where significant differences exist between the current data protection laws and the new GDPR regulations we explain what those differences are.

Our GDPR Training will teach you about the fundamental requirements needed to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation. Our course will be CPD approved and will provide certificates upon completion, helping you to comply with the GDPR.

Abrasive Wheels Online Safety Course

Abrasive wheels are powered wheels, cylinders, belts or points made from, or coated with abrasive particles; they are incredibly fast moving, which can make them very dangerous and injuries can be extremely serious. Around half of all accidents involving abrasive wheels are due to them being used incorrectly or without the proper controls in place.

Online Working at Height Training Course

Falls from height are one of the biggest causes of workplace fatalities and major injuries, often from ladders and through fragile roofs. The Working at Height Regulations 2005 are there to try and prevent death and injury from a fall from height.

Work at height means work in any place where, if there were no precautions in place, a person could fall a distance liable to cause injury. There is no minimum height restriction to classify work as being ‘at height’ and people who do so must have the necessary skills, knowledge and experience.

The course is designed to satisfy the training and awareness requirements of relevant legislation and regulations including The Working at Height Regulations 2005 and The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

Manual Handling Online Training Course

This Manual Handling Training Course will provide your employees with guidance and instruction on the correct lifting procedures and some handy hints on the do’s and don’ts of Manual Handling.

More than one third of all injuries reported each year to the HSE involve Manual Handling. The Online Manual Handling Course covers pulling, pushing, lifting, lowering and carrying any object without the use of external aids. The most serious injuries are often caused in the simplest way but many can be prevented by following the correct Manual Handling techniques.
